Here are some of the instance etiquette's or guidelines we'd like to uphold while in a group:
(these are known by a good many of people, but for anyone who's unsure of what's what, these are some logistics for good game play)

  • Chests:

    • Do not be a...

      when it comes to chests.

What is a ninja? It can mean a number of things, but basically someone who steals a chest.
Biggest offenders are PEOPLE WHO DO NOT ROLL ON A CHEST AND WILL JUST TAKE IT.
This will not be tolerated. If someone starts to have a reputation for being a ninja, it can warrant an expulsion from the guild.

    • Rolls:

Not sure how to roll on something? Just type /roll

    • Locked Chests: Rogues can unlock chests, as well as those who have the Blacksmithing profession and happen to have a key. If someone can open a locked box but they lost the roll, they can shift click to unlock the box without taking out the contents.

    • Taking turns: This is totally up to the player and/or party leader. Instead of one person having the luck of the roll for all the chests in an instance, they can pass on chests if they had previously won a roll. This gives the rest of the party members a chance at winning a chest, and is more equally divided amongst the group.

  • Items:
    • Need before Greed?
If you can use it, as in to use it on the character you are playing while in the instance, need the item up for the roll.
If you'd like it for an alt, greed the roll just like everyone else.
If you're an enchanter and can disenchant it-Greed the roll as well, unless the party members agree to pass on item for disenchantment (then need it to win the roll).

**Needing an item that you clearly cannot use is a form of ninja-ing, and depending on who is party leader, can get you kicked out of the party.**
  • Special Circumstances:

    • Mining Ore: If there is an ore that can be mined, it's a courteous idea to give a shout out and see if anyone else is a miner in the group. If there is more than one person, as a suggestion, it would be noteworthy to roll for the ore to see who can mine it. Additionally, if there are any other ores, taking turns would also be a great idea if implemented.

    • Skinning: Same applies as above. If there are skinners in the group, it's a good idea to ask before skinning.

  • Party Leader:
    • It is up to the party leader to set the looting status, and it is recommended that the loot method and threshold be set to Group Loot, Uncommon, so that everyone can have a chance to roll on items that are different from your everyday, oridinary items.

General rules that are listed here are as a basis for fair game play. The are not ment to impose or restrict, but rather make the playing field equal for everyone.
